„Family Business“ with a difference.…

According to Managing Director Michael Becker, at Thermamax, they have a clear philosophy: „ we must also thank the families for their support for the high level of commitment shown by our workforce.“ And as an acknowledgment to those partners, parents and children, Thermamax recently held it’s first „Summer Fete“...

Sommerfest bei Thermamax: viel Spaß für Groß und Klein

So on Saturday 15th June at 14.00 it was not the usual daily routine of development work, careful measurement, complex manufacturing etc., but all about the people. The inner yard between the Admin. block and the Production Hall for metallic insulation products was full of people of all ages – and above all with children !

In a short welcome speech Michael Becker said: „We spend a large part of our lives at work so it’s great to see people here together with their families and not just in their normal work environment. Today we look like one big family.“

In order to give a better idea of what their fathers, mothers, or children actually do at work, special factory tours through the Works were organized, showing the significant growth at Thermamax in the last few years.

And of course there was some delicious food provided – and many also brought along tasty „home-made“ cakes and tarts. There was fun for children of all ages, including a bouncy castle for the little ones and a bull-ride for others. This American import emphasized the connection with our colleagues at Thermamax Inc. in Aurora, Illinois, sadly, not able to attend for practical reasons of distance.

Another high-point was the band „Padded Cell Sessions“, featuring Sales and Marketing Director Steffen Cronauer and Sales Managers Richard Burgess and Jaouad Bahaoui, already well known to our customers in the Marine and Offshore market sectors from their appearances on the Thermamax stand at the SMM exhibition in Hamburg. Visitors to the world’s biggest Marine show were apparently just as impressed as those at the Summer Fete !

Michael Becker again: „This was a brilliant event that we’ll certainly repeat. We should never forget, you get improvements in productivity with machines, but real steps in innovation come through people’s creativity and commitment – and that means the support of their families too.“
