Our annual review

This was 2019 at Thermamax. Our annual review.

Let us look back at the year 2019 together. Once again, we were on course for success in the United States, we advanced promising innovations and we collaborated with engineers of the next generation. Our solutions made an impression at the most important trade fairs and conventions in a wide range of industries.

Expansion of the manufacturing expertise and capacities in Aurora
On the road to success in the USA

We successfully advanced the production localization at our site in Aurora so that Thermamax, Inc. can manufacture nearly the entire product range in the USA on its own and independently of the headquarters in Mannheim.

Based on make-or-buy analyses and by expanding the local supplier network, we are in the position to make logistics and production processes more efficient and thus adjust our products and services more specifically to the special requirements of the North American market.

Additionally, we increased our vertical integration through investments of one million dollars. These include, for example, acquisitions of a 2D laser, an insulation cutter and several workstations for sewing.

Thermamax, Inc. is successfully ending the year with an initial IATF certification – because this is the prerequisite for also penetrating the on-highway market segment and then the automotive industry in the future. You can find out more here.

Battery housing for lithium-ion batteries
A report from ATZheavy duty, issue 3/2019

The interest in alternative drives is also growing in the offroad area. This year we introduced the Tmax-Battery Housing and its development in the trade magazine ATZheavy duty. It meets the special challenges posed by the rugged use of the vehicles and reliably protects the battery against thermal runaway and high outside temperatures.

Thermamax supports the next generation

We care about the new generation. That’s why we again supported the two racing teams Uni Stuttgart and KA-RaceIng  (from KIT in Karlsruhe) in 2019. We provided insulation solutions for exhaust manifolds and turbochargers for the vehicles in the combustion engine category. The team from Karlsruhe visited us in the spring of 2019 to find out more about our production. Go to the next racing generation

Parents’ Day
Trainees made parents proud

During Parents’ Day 2019, we presented all parents of our trainees with a look at everyday training activities at Thermamax. The idea was received so favorably that we want to establish it permanently. Go to Parents’ Day
