Continuing quality ensured

Successful Re-Certification at Thermamax, Inc.

Aurora IL, 25.11.2013. The latest auditing of our Quality Management System just took place in September, and now it’s official – Thermamax, Inc. continues to be ISO-certified. As confirmed by the independent Test and Certification Office of DNV (Det Norske Veritas Certification Inc.), Tmax Inc. , with it’s established Quality Management System, fulfils all requirements of the internationally recognized standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. This means the existing certification is extended for a further three years.

In September Thermamax, Inc., based in Aurora, Illinois, close to Chicago, initiated a new and extensive inspection of it’s Quality Management processes to be carried out by an external agency. Director Hartmut Auer considers this evaluation, which again proved positive, as an important confirmation of quality and an ongoing step towards securing the future for our USA-based Sales and Production facility, currently with 20 employees.
„The demands on us as a manufacturer and service provider of innovative Insulation Systems for the American market change from customer to customer and from project to project“, commented Hartmut Auer. „We have to be flexible, but at the same time we have to follow the necessary processes and be able to guarantee the consistently high quality of our products and services to achieve customer satisfaction.“
As part of the audit there was an in-depth investigation of the implementation of the overall Quality Management Policy, the documentation related to the various processes and test procedures, as well as measures to ensure a discipline of continuous improvement. DNV noted particularly that our USA-based facility has the same procedures, processes and equipment as exist in the ISO-TS 16949 certified Mannheim location and which are proven over many years. This means that a short-term exchange of machinery and/or personnel between the two locations is possible without impacting quality or loss of data.
„Through the comprehensive customer and process-oriented application of our Quality Management System we can ensure clear, unified standards in all departments of the company across both locations. That’s important in a decentralized organization like ours“, explained Peter Cappellucci, Quality Manager at Tmax Inc..  „ All the important internal processes are controlled. The quality is continuously monitored with regular inspections and optimized where necesssary. The quality of our products is at a consistently high level – whether MADE IN GERMANY or here in AURORA in the USA.“
