Thermamax: Doubling of inhouse Tooling capacity

Mannheim-based High-Temperature and Acoustic Insulation specialist Thermamax is doubling it’s inhouse Tooling capacity in order to react faster and more flexibly to customer requirements. The well known temperature designers have a clear target: the best possible support to the time-to-market demands of their customers.

Committed to a plan for growth, the company has been investing for many years in the expansion of production facilities and already made an investment in additional tooling capacity last year. With the purchase of another 5-axis milling machine the capability is significantly expanded. The new plant offers the Thermamax toolmakers an even greater machining range than previously.

Klaus Darmstädter, Production Director at Thermamax: „The concept of an inhouse tooling facility has clearly proved itself, and we’re consistently driving that forward in the interests of our customers. We have more than doubled the allocated production space for this unit and we will also increase the personnel level to suit“.

The ISO TS 16949 certified insulation specialists are striving towards a streamlined value chain in their production. This means the independence of both production capacity and suppliers is important to them. Thermamax Managing Director Michael Becker comments: „ As a medium-sized  company we can offer a clear advantage with the range of our manufacturing capability. Having our own inhouse tooling facility means we can bring our ideas to reality faster and more flexibly and reduce time lost with interfaces. Our customers are operating worldwide and value this sort of thinking and the feedback we’re getting is absolutely positive.“
