Confirming a strong commitment to the Offshore market sector

Thermamax joins the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC)

Since the beginning of this year Thermamax Inc., based in Aurora, Illinois, USA, has been a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). Focus of the organization, which is active worldwide, is to promote and support Oil Exploration, to improve Health and Safety as well as environmental awareness in the industry, and to demand guidelines and standards that facilitate safer and more effective drilling operations.

"We can really relate to these sort of aims“, explained Ronny Lasner, U.S. Operations Manager at Thermamax Inc. "We’ve been active for many years in designing and manufacturing insulation technologies which make a significant contribution to Fire Protection and Noise  Reduction on Offshore platforms. We intend to continue this involvement with our insulation products and our target is to improve safety aspects for both man and machine on Offshore platforms even further. That means ensuring our design solutions stay easy to install, cost-effective, and can be retrofitted.“ Joining the IADC was the logical next step in this strategy.

The IADC, based in Houston, USA, has been representing the Oil and Gas Industry worldwide since 1940. IADC members own and operate a large proportion of the drilling sites worldwide, both at sea and land-based.
